"Killers of the flower moon" seemed to generally have positive reviews, but it turned out to be a rather disappointing movie. It seemed rather bizarre that Scorsese padded the runtime to almost 3½ hours by including a lot of scenes that seemed pointless and didn't really take the story anywhere and then decided to spend the last few minutes to quickly "close" the movie by having people literally read from a paper to an audience what happened to the key individuals. Why waste so much time in all these filler shots and then basically leave out a key part in the end that probably would've been the most interesting part in the whole movie. Maybe it's just me but the movie seemed somewhat poorly edited and it kind of just jumps from one locale and point in time to another kind of like that crappy movie "Tenet". You'd think that a movie that is 3+ hours long wouldn't need to resort to choppy story telling like that.

Agree. I love Scorsese and for me he is one of the greatest directors of all time. It's super rare that he is working for so long and has such an versatile filmography in all of these decades. However, he is not without flaws and occasionally he makes unremarkable movie that at best can be called lazy. It was like that with Silence, Hugo, and now with this movie. I understand why he wanted to point a light on this topic, but the result is not as good as could've been. De Niro seems to quiet quitting acting in all of his recent movies, so I don't know why he is still getting jobs. And DiCaprio is trying his best with that character, but I don't think he has any depth in the script. He had much better roles than that, probably agreed to this only because it's Scorsese and De Niro. Anyway, not a good movie and indeed mostly disappointing. Waiting for his next films to see if he is back on a better path.

also agree. It's far too long and not particularly exciting or laudable in any aspect.

I don't care.
From what I saw of it, Killers of the Flower Moon did come off overlong, but it just really seemed to center on storytelling. Oh, God, forgive MS!
