I wasn't bored by it at all, but I can see how someone who isn't up on the film's historical references might be like, "What the hell?" I was a little up on Jay Sebring, Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate, etc., so it was all very interesting. And Cliff was a hoot. I'm actually eager to see this again.

Thanks for responding - I am of an age when I am very familiar with the Manson murders that is why I hate fictionalized history. I thought the casting of Damien Lewis as Steve McQueen was very poor - but then I guess it's impossible to cast somebody in the role of such a charismatic star. As far as I remember Jay Sebring was a neighbour - not an ex lover. Sharon Tate was 8 months pregnant when she was murdered - I have to say I gave up after about an hour because I was falling asleep. For me this film was empty - it wasn't true - it had no action - if it had humour then I missed it - just an all round fail.

Demien Lewis is too goofy to pull it off... they would have been better off with an actor that had less resemblence, but more masculine...

boring is a word I apply to most QT films. I pretty much knew how it end when i first heard abut it
