Man, I saw Nic Cage and immediately wondered what the F you were smoking. But then I saw that it also stars Bill Duke and both of my eyebrows shot up with intrigue. This one could co either way.
According to the distributor RLJE Films' Twitter feed, and Wikipedia, it's vaguely slated for "Summer 2018." Looking at their website (where the movie still isn't listed), they seem to be strong in direct-to-video and weak on theatrical releases so I'd guess you'll see a limited release in theaters with a same-day VOD release.
Oh no I was def not expecting a huge cinema run for this one. But from what I hear this could turn into cult classic for sure. Just tired of waiting for the release. I feel like alot of gems get passed on after film festivals simply because the wait time for release. They need to hurry up on the distribution and strike while the iron is hot. Nothing beats amazing word of mouth. Good example of this is 'It Follows' almost zero marketing campaign and it did amazing in its limited cinema run and than on home video all because of word of mouth. I have a feeling this might do the same.
I'd keep an eye on Vudu each Tuesday. I bet it'll show up in August, myself, after the big movies leave the cinemas and people are shifting to their fall watching habits. Just a guess.

God it looks trippy and crazy! Love it! I think Cage was born to play this role.

I don't usually watch trailers, but this sure looks crazy :D I am a fan of N. Cage....so, can't wait.
