That's the problem with increasing pricing as well. It just went up 3 dollars in Canada.

It's still decent value for now, but the problem is original content they're producing is exactly that, mediocre. Meanwhile, a lot of other content is leaving the service.

We're paying more so they can continue to make more mediocre content.

Seems like they want to just be an original content studio/streaming platform for themselves & will ultimately do away with hosting the other stuff. They've been ejecting stuff from their catalog for years.

Most of the Netflix movies I have seen have been really really bad and I think this is the first one that even manages to hit the mediocre mark. A very very mediocre and generic movie through and through. Not sure why or when Noomi Rapace decided she wanted to become an action star, but this is the second action movie stinker I've seen from her after 'Unlocked' which was equally mediocre (or bad). She isn't exactly the most convincing action star.

You have to look at Noomi and think about where else she would fit with her odd features and acting ability. Comedy? Nope. Serious drama? Nope, she has an accent.

That leaves the action or thriller genre, which is pretty much where she started with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy.

As for Netflix, they have a captive audience who as long as they keep paying, Netflix will have revenues with which to create original content instead of just being a platform for distribution of non-original content. I almost wonder if their original content is a loss leader for them.
