Overview

In una villa della campagna inglese vivono Brenda e Tony Last con il figlioletto. Brenda, annoiata e insoddisfatta, allaccia una relazione con un cinico conoscente. Alla morte accidentale del figlio la coppia si separa: Tony parte per l'Amazzonia, dove si perde e finisce "prigioniero" di uno strano personaggio. Una sorte non luminosa tocca anche alla moglie, prontamente abbandonata dall'amante.
