My mind is blown...are todays audiences really that stupid? Judging by the 11 fast and furious films and 9 transformer films...yeah I think they are.

Maybe people are THAT desperate for some light hearted fun...
They have to wade through countless sad, self pittying movies, with crybaby superhero leads, victim narratives, daddy/mommy issues, political disenfranchisement and existential angst just to find one where they are able to leave the cinema a little happier than when they arrived...
In that context going to watch Boo 2 is a no brainer...

I dont think we are 'busybodies.' I was just wondering how the hell this piece of shit film got to number one. Please tell us how amazing this film is and why it deserves to be number one right now?

How am I interfering? Someone gonna read this and say 'Nahhh OddRob dosent think this film is good, Im not seeing it.' Im not going to start listing my favorite films, but I will tell you that at least Blade Runner 2049, Happy Death Day, and probably The Foreigner are better films in ALL ways compared to this shit. This money grab shouldnt even be in the top 5 right now.

You are right. Tyler Perry is going to go down in history as a fantastic actor and a even better director. His name will forever go down in history with the greats! Scorsese, Kubrick, Spielberg, Cameron, Coppola, and of course Perry.

easy guys!
C'mon... I think we've all had our say... no need to insult one another...
On another note, you have to admit Perry was pretty good in Gone Girl ;)

I think it was also a matter of timing. A. Its Halloween season. B. Its release date spaced out far enough from its similarly themed horror/halloween flicks, Happy Death Day & Jigsaw. C. Its the tamer/funnier of the 3.
I saw the first one On Demand on EPIX...having never seen a Madea movie...sorry, but thought it was...cr.ap! Plays out more like a stage play then an actual movie, especially the first half (understandable since I think those are madea's roots)...still, I barely laughed twice and the last scenes with the old people being scared in their own house....painful watch. I had ZERO interest in seeing this sequel...but apparently others. MANY others DID!
Factor in an ultra low budget for these flicks, the masses have spoken, Expect a Madea's Boo 3!

I think the release date they picked was a pretty lucky one. Halloween for the kids and not much competition right now. At least until the new Thor comes out and kills everything in sight. And for the little money they made this, $25 million, I can see why they would keep turning them out.
And damn Charlton you must be trolling pretty hard to get posts deleted.
