I know we still have a long ways to go, but if another movie wants to outdo "Us", well, let's just say I don't see that being very likely unless the makers of the "Cloverfield paradox" hop in a timemachine and even then it would be closer to a tie. Holy hell what utter trite. Pretty much after the first quarter you realize the movie isn't going anyhere and you are stuck there watching the nonsensical plot and just hope it will finally end, but nope, instead you get one ridiculous and utterly pointless scene after another to stretch this movie to almost two hours. I love the "twist" in the end that you know is coming from the very beginning. Gee willikers a movie about clones and the behaviour of the central character suddenly completely changes in the beginning of the movie. I wonder what might have happened to her. Oh, she is a clone - who would have ever seen this brilliant twist coming!

Yeah, I had high hopes for this one, but it just didn't do it for me. Some of the elements I felt could have been good, but it largely didn't scare me or make me want to watch it again for stuff I "missed" regarding the twist. It just seems like Peele had something more in Get Out. This one just felt like it could've been more than it was in my opinion.

Both this movie and Get Out felt like one long Key & Peele episode.

I enjoyed Get Out a lot more . This movie was just passable entertainment. Definitely glad I skipped it in the theater.

Admittedly I'm in the minority in that I enjoyed Us more then Get Out...both had quite a bit of "fluff" and probably could've worked as part of a anthology TV series (say, the new Twilight Zone), but 'Us' had better pacing &, even though I saw the "twist" coming early on, it still managed to keep up the intensity.

Now Cloverfield Paradox...ugh...Cloverfield is easiest one of my FAVORITE modern Giant Monster films and probably fav cam movie! What a letdown Paradox was

I'm glad to find some dissent here amongst the adulation pouring out of most of the rest of the internet. I was dying to see Us because I loved Get Out, and I couldn't have been more disappointed. I mean, where to begin?

*It can't decide whether it wants to be a comedy or a horror, and even worse it doesn't even try to mix the two, with the comedy sections being very clearly (and jarringly) delineated

*It's absolutely full of those moments where you wonder what the hell the character is thinking

*It goes on way too long and is full of padding, as OP already said; I, too, found myself wishing for it to end. Those two hours felt long

*Not only is the plot twist totally predictable, it also doesn't make any sense. If they had really swapped in the opening scene, they wouldn't have both acted the way they did throughout the film. Retconning a twist at the end without tying it to anything that happens in the film is not clever

*This is more a criticism of its general reception than the film itself I guess, but everyone harps on about how it powerfully explores themes of class and privilege. It does _nothing _ of the sort. It proposes neither explanation nor solution, it basically just says "some people are luckier than others". No shit? The film is nowhere near as clever as people think it is. But even if it was, I'd still be annoyed because it was marketed as a horror film, and hot on the heels of its predecessor Get Out, too. I went in expecting another creepy, disturbing film, not the tragically wasted opportunity that I got instead

There's more but those are my main points. It felt good to get that out!

The film rewards repeated viewing. There is a lot I did not catch in the theater. It's chock full.

NOT MY FAVORITE.HOWEVER,STILL A VERY STRONG HORROR FILM.LIKES IT A LOT.

I completely agree, this movie SUCKS. Get Out was much better. 4/10
