Just finished (binged) the Netflix documentary series, really feel sad for the families of the girls who died. Then I saw the trailer of this film, kinda had the vibe of Wolf of Wallstreet.
Thoughts on how the film will present Ted Bundy? I hope they don't make him seem like a cool criminal. I can just imagine how horrible the family members of the victims would feel.

I dont really understand the tone they are going for. It seems like they are trying to make it a dark comedy of sorts. Which seems kind of a crazy idea to me and also very disrespectful to the actual victims. Maybe the next trailer will tone it down? Oh and Lily Collins looks amazing as always.

I've watched some of the Netflix series that recently was put up. One thing that always annoys the hell out of me is when these interviewed people say stuff like, "Oh, this person didn't look like a criminal" or "They were such a clean-cut, good looking person. I didn't think they were capable of committing such things."
It's so stupid to me that these people think that a person has to look a certain way to be a criminal/murderer/serial killer or whatever. I hate when I hear this in real life from people I run across. I just don't get why these people have the idea in their heads that a person who is evil (for lack of a better term) has to look like an ugly, hideous troll creature or whatever.

Well it was a different time back then. Im sure many people didnt even know what a serial killer was, never mind one that looks clean cut and nice. And I think he also used a fake cast to trick his victims into lowering their guard as well. I cant even imagine how it it must have been 70 years ago to kill someone and get away with it. Like its seriously scary!

Fair point, I suppose. Did you ever hear the theory that Ted Bundy was a Manchurian candidate? If so, do you believe it at all?

Nope, never heard that. What would be the point? Stricter laws or surveillance from the government?

I honestly have no clue. I heard someone bring that idea up in a discussion on a show I was recently listening to, and just wondered what someone else thought.

I just read that Netflix tweeted some concern about Ted Bundy's hotness - apparently gained some new fans lusting over him
he also reminded me of the killer in The Fall played by handsome Jamie Dornan.

I finished the series, and wow dude was such a narcissistic, arrogant person. The footage of the trial, and him representin himself was almost comical with how insane it was at times. The fact that he probably 100% thought he was going to get away with it just shows the mental state he was in.

Sad part is we actually still have people like that running around today that are not in jail. Some people are really scary and show how little they care about fellow man.

Definitely. I just listened to a show about The Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez yesterday. It is another example of how little regard one could have for a fellow human being. The savage ways he would murder his victims was almost unfathomable. The scary thing is how cruel the murders were, and how long he got away with doing such horrific acts to people.

Completely mind blowing. Look up Luis Garavito from South America. There is a documentary on Youtube about him called The Beast. Really disturbing stuff.

I agree. Also, in that Netflix docuseries about Bundy, there was that bizarre footage of the random women being interviewed, and they're like coozing out for the guy, and saying stuff like they can't stop looking at him. I know some women like bad guys, but that was ridiculous.
