I can imagine that on that particular night Jaden went to twitter with even greater philosophical fervor than usual: "If this is reality - what happens in unreality"

is Jaden still that guy, or has he grown out of it a bit now? You never hear about him anymore tbh

Well, on a more serious note, it's a very mediocre action movie and seems like most of the effort was put in to the de-aging gimmick with everything else playing second or third fiddle. I suppose the de-aging CGI would've had a lof of wow factor if this movie was released about the same time Jurassic Park or Independence day were released, but these days..........meh.

Yeah agree with you there. I was watching this thinking it would've been good and groundbreaking in the 90's around the time of Face Off. Seems like the filmmakers went for broke with the gimmick and forgot about any real story.

One obvious answer would be: De-aged Will looks more like present-day Will than Jaden does. You don't want black people (or anyone) leaving the cinema asking, WHO was Will fighting?!? It's supposed to be a clone of Will's character.

So Will can get nominated for both best actor and best supporting actor all in one film.

How come they didn't just get Jaden to play his younger version? Because Will Smith wanted to show the son he wants, not the son he has
