I learned a few things about Heath Ledger. Before watching this film, I was under the impression that Heath was a just talented actor. I remember the first performance I saw him in was Patriot Games. For some reason his performance in Patriot Games stayed with me. I didn't exactly follow his career. I've only seen TDK, Brokeback Mountain and Monster's Ball. But I will take the time to watch some more of his films because this movie shows video clips from several of his movie performances.

Now I see that Heath was not just a talented actor. He was a brilliant artist. He directed music videos and was a photographer. He personalized his photos by drawing on them with markers or paint. He also was a kind gracious person who enjoyed the company of fellow artists. He gave so much of himself to his close friends. His life was a joy to watch. His death so tragic, like a freak accident.

There is no doubt in my mind that had Heath Ledger lived, he would have been one of the most influential actor/directors in the business. Gone too soon. RIP
