I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think she changed her mind when Ito told her his full story. I guess that earlier she just knew that she has to kill him. Imo she was assassin for hire. And, if this fim does well on Netflix, it's very likely that we will see sequel or prequel. Director himself tweeted about possibility of trilogy. Btw, holy shit that film was awesome.
