Samuel va arribar a la Formentera hippie dels 70 i allà segueix. Viu sense llum a la platja i toca el banjo en un local. Un dia rep la visita de la seva filla Anna i del seu nét Marc: ella ha acceptat un treball a França que l'obliga a anar-se'n sola.

Samuel is an old hippie musician who settled in Formentera in the 1970s, when King Crimson and other British rock bands frequented the island. There he lives austerely, in a ramshackle house without electric light or unnecessary luxuries, and plays the banjo in a friends' club. Until one day, after many years, he receives the unexpected visit of his daughter Anna and his grandson Marc. Anna, unemployed for some time, says she has had to accept a job in France and is forced to leave her little son on the island with grandfather Samuel.

Samuel (José Sacristán), es un hippie de setenta años, que llegó a Formentera en los años setenta y allí se quedó. Es músico y toca el banjo en bares y pubs de la isla. Su vida cambia cuando llega su hija, Anna (Nora Navas), con su nieto Marco (Sandro Ballesteros). Anna ha de partir y le deja a su nieto en la isla. Samuel deberá aprender a convivir con el niño, relación que le provoca volver a un pasado con algunas sombras.
