A to Z, I am with you that there are no "sides" on this issue. The excessive PC culture, fostered by FB and Twitter, is out of hand. But so also is the extreme right wing that feels as though everyone not on "their" side is conspiring against them. If each could only recognize that they DO have common ground--both sides are riddled with extreme hypocrites--maybe we could get somewhere.

I'm a moderate. What happened to Gunn was wrong not because he was liberal or conservative, but rather because he'd already made amends and even THAT wasn't good enough in today's ready-fire-aim culture. I know this is a shocking concept - but perhaps decent morality should come before profit! Yep, even in Hollywood.

It's nauseating to see the cast of Guardians writing an open letter suggesting Gunn be reinstated and giving him "full support." This guy wrote 'pedophile' twitter posts. If a convicted pedophile had come out of prison, set up a Twitter account and wrote the same comment - people would think "this is outrageous, can't Twitter delete his account?" People would condemn Twitter as the social media platform for pedophiles. Why should Gun get a free pass to come across like a pedophile? He crossed a line - Disney was right to dump him. I think they'll look foolish and hypocritical if they reinstate him.

And why do people in Hollywood defend pedophiles/alleged rapists like Harvey Weinstein, OJ Simpson (alleged murderer!), Roman Polanski? I'd respect the cast of Guardians if they came out and said "Gunn was great to work with but he crossed the line. We don't want him to make the third movie."

There hasn't been concrete evidence he was a child abuser. Jordan Chandler admitted his father told him to make up stories he was abused although one fact checking website suggests Chandler never admitted he made it all up. I guess we'll never know if it was true or not. Evan Chandler (the father) took his life not long after Jackson's death.
