Discuter de Sans un bruit

Naturally, there were a lot of quiet, near silent parts in this movie... I think it was very cinematic and worked to build tension having so many people keep quiet... nervously... in public 😉 ...

What were your theatre experiences?

In mine, people kept quiet throughout the movie with one exception...

There was a late arriving pair of couples (early 20s, but act like teens) who were on a double date, they arrived during the first scene, which was very quiet, they were giggling (including the dudes), I don't mind that, at least theh didn't use their phone flashlights to try to find their seats, although the girls did have a discussion about where their seats were, while standing in the middle of the cinema... they were called to their seats by their boyfriends... They all staid quiet after sitting down in their seats and then 20 minutes into the movie they started having a discussion and were quickly told off by other viewers nearby. Everyone was quiet thereafter.

All told, a pretty good cinema experience. Big screen, proper system, clean... mostly respectful crowd.

I have had similar experiences in cinemas. When watching Guardians Of The Galaxy vol. 2 , a lady flashed the light right on my face and that was really annoying.

One time, there was a guy using his phone flash light to search for something between the seats and in the rows... Flashing it in our eyes several times in the process... After a few minutes I asked him what he was looking for... he said... his phone! 😂

Everyone burst out laughing, including the phone guy and he left the cinema realising how absent minded he was... 😁

Here in Brazil soldiers armed with rifles always take away cell phones from people in the movies. Of such rigidity that exists in the Brazilian cinematographic business.

I saw this at the drive-in. Sitting in my car with such a quiet soundtrack made me feel uncomfortable as I kept turning up the volume to make sure I wasn't missing any dialogue, or if in fact to see if there was any audio being broadcast at all. Once I realized there was nothing really there did I start to take in the experience of what a almost silent soundtrack can do to my senses. At times it was almost overwhelming, and at one point I had to remember that what I was experiencing was part of what watching scary movies is all about. There's been so many bad scary movies with similar scenes that end up having the same results (looking into mirrors,) (slowly reaching out to touch blood,) (gazing at one's self at the edge of a pond,) (tripping and/or falling down while trying to run away) that I pretty much came undone with the near silent sound track. I'm used to scenes where the music and sound effects fade away to complete silence; only to have a jump scare right after, but not a whole sequence of scenes of near silence. As a result; I have to conclude the people who thought of this concept as brilliant!

Lots of people walked out because it was so lame, so stupid, and so boring. We paid for this piece of garbage so we stayed to see every second of it... I hate when people trash a movie, bad or not, when they haven't seen it. No one has any right to say a movie is bad unless they've seen it all. So, I saw it all... TWICE... Yes, I endured the pain two separate times!!! Once in a theater and again at a friend's house.
