Ridley, is one of the few directors who are making movies in a grand scale... Cinematic movies about people... Not just TV on a big screen, or CGI cartoons...

It was a lot of fun... Exciting movie, but also has a lot of context that isn't usual in these kinds of hostage movies...

What I like the most about the movie is that it isn't just a psychological study, as a lot of movies are these days... it is bigger, outward looking and more in the world and not neurotic and completely inward looking...

Plummer nailed it!

Solid performance... And there are lots of scenes with him! I thought it was going to be a tiny role, but it is quite substantial...

It'll be interesting to see if the blu-ray will have the Spacey version to compare... Especially now that Plummer has been nominated for the Oscar for his work in this...
