I was blown away from this movie. It seemingly came out from nowhere and blew a little town into smithereens. Everyone's lives gets ruined and four girls (who have to fight for their lives) get the blame for someone else's actions. Who's to blame is a huge surprise. And, what seemingly seems like harmless fun to a individual slowly tears apart everyone living in a small town.
I can understand not too many people talking about this movie; I don't remember seeing any advertising for it, and there wasn't too many people watching it. It received a rating of 5.9 on IMDB and has only come near 2 million in total American gross. Still; it was well worth watching.

I got a SJW/feminists vibe from the trailer so I decided to pass. I dont think it had much of an advertising budget at all so Im sure it didnt reach many people.

I just watched the trailer and didn't really see what your talking about. To me, and when I was watching the movie; it has more of The Purge look and feel than anything else, except this time it takes place in a small town. Your view however is probably more reflective as to what others may have thought when they saw the trailer.

From what I remember from the trailer the end showed boys vs girls with guns and swords or something like that. Honestly dont really remember much from it since it didnt really stand out to me.

Just watched it. Was great. Like a cross between heathers and the purge with a little bit of the breakfast club all updated for social media and disinformation. The violence reminded me of the recent actual stories of vigilante mobs, inflamed by bullshit on social media going around and murdering innocent people.
Like these:

It really beats up the 4chan crew, so I imagine there are going to be some vicious haters out there too.

Wow, I'm glad you agree with what I saw. Didn't know about the true to life situations like what's depicted in the movie, though I can fully understand why such things can (and have) happen.

Finally got around to seeing this, and it's terrible. Visually interesting, I'll give it that, but it's terrible. Knew very little about it going in and right off the bat it's largely a "men bad women innocent victims" SJW flick as OddRob predicted. The main girls are not likeable one iota, the ending sucks, it was a huge waste of time and an inferior copy of other far better movies.

Good point! That is one HUGE thing missing from this movie. There should be at least five scenes like that!

I'm pretty sure these days you're not allowed to call yourself a feminist unless you want to kill men.
