This movie includes the earliest instance I've personally ever seen of a character very definitely and clearly flashing someone the middle finger. I've seen a slew (many dozen) of Pre-Codes, but don't recall seeing any other instances of someone "flashing the bird" in an old movie. It's impossible to not notice when it occurs in this one as it's so very obvious: The Sister Fallon character's chauffeur gives the crooked business manager the finger immediately after first walking out of the room and closing the door.

Strict Production Code enforcement from mid 1934 onward certainly did put the brakes on things that were able to be gotten away with in films previously.
