If women are not fit for frontline infantry, then how do you explain that in ancient times you had females fighting alongside men in war? A time where warfare was far more physical and bloody than it is now? During Bodica's time they didn't have guns...only swords, spears, bows and arrows the shield. Yet Bodica was revered as a respected general/warrior even by her enemies.

Throughout history women have fought and died in battle. Ample information on this topic can be found everywhere, for example here .

Very excellent points! Not to mention it takes more than just physical strength. Leadership, teamwork, intelligence, determination, just to name a few traits which are also vital in combat. Women have come so far and proven themselves in so many ways, yet even today people are ignorant and closed-minded. SMH

if the criteria for being a soldier are unchanged and women can meet the criteria for strength, endurance, etc... then it's less of an issue... if you're going to relax the criteria or standards to allow women to fight, then that is another issue all together and we're talking about compromising the quality of soliders, etc...
there are also other factors, like social dynamics, camaraderie, etc...
Also, Demi Moore was kinda hot in this...
