Based off just the cover, I normally would not have seen this movie. Kevin Hart has done a few funny movies; and the trailer to "The Upside" makes the movie look comical. Why did I watch this movie? It had everything to do with simply picking a couple of movies I haven't seen at the drive-in more than any other reason. The movie wasn't bad, and since I hadn't had any expectations one way or another; I wasn't too horribly disappointed with it either.
For those expecting a comedy, you'll be disappointed. If your expecting a heart filled movie with lots of warm feel good fuzzy moments, you'll be in for the ride of your life as this movie deals with some harsh realities of being disabled. The way it handle some of these tender facts is with a gentle comedy touch. That being said, I can understand why no one has written about this movie yet.
It's not a movie you're going way out of your way to see; it's more like if you have nothing else going on and you happen to run across it while at home, and you have nothing absolutely else to do, and you might even choose to watch something other than "The Upside," then I would say you wouldn't miss much by doing so.

I don't know if you'll get your answer this way. You might want to post a separate thread with that question as the title header to help get attention, and help it stand out.
