Overview

Annie Oakley, una modesta noia de poble, és aficionada a caçar guatlles, que després ven al poble. Un dia té l'ocasió de mesurar la punteria amb el rifle desafiant en una aposta Toby Walker, el tirador més destre de l'Oest, que acaba de ser fitxat per a l'espectacle itinerant del cèlebre Buffalo Bill. Tot i que Annie perd voluntàriament l'aposta, les seves habilitats criden l'atenció del mànager de Búfal Bill, que també contracta la noia. Comencen les circenses exhibicions i la rivalitat entre Annie i Toby, que en realitat no serà tal, ja que tots dos s'han enamorat.
