I like this Motion Picture because they used a plot technique which was quite common in its time but has completely vanished since then: The technique of the unexpected unmotivated major catastrophe. For the plot of the film it is necessary that the pregnant heroine loses her child. Today they would choose something like a minor accident or illness to reach this goal. In this film it is an earthquake in Tokyo. The viewer is not prepared in any way (No unconventional but intelligent expert states an unheard warning, and no one draws a connection between Japan and earthquakes). In sev... read the rest.
