I like this Motion Picture because they used a plot technique which was quite common in its time but has completely vanished since then: The technique of the unexpected unmotivated major catastrophe. For the plot of the film it is necessary that the pregnant heroine loses her child. Today they would choose something like a minor accident or illness to reach this goal. In this film it is an earthquake in Tokyo.
