Talk about a movie with no laughs. John Cena should really stick to action movies. Come to think of it Leslie Mann should also probably stick to action movies. I'll count "The cable guy" as an action movie because it sure as hell wasn't a comedy either.

After the producer and director sat down and watched the final cut of this movie they should've had a serious discussion with each other where they would've agreed that this movie doesn't work as a comedy at all and start marketing it as a drama movie. It would've probably been a smart move to just edit out the already unfunny "comedy" bits and market this movie as a drama that deals with the hardships young women come to grips with during adolescence for example. Maybe forget the nationwide opening and open at Cannes or Sundance and try to fish for awards.

I didn't even make it an hour. This felt like a comedy they made with a storyboard instead of a script and they just said "If you film it, the jokes will come."

I thought he was the best thing about the movie. I like him much more in comedies than in action movies.

Finally managed to sit this one to the end. I can say, as you implied, that the jokes definitely did not come. Just a boring unfunny experience to sit through.

I didn't think it was too bad, but I did see it as a 2nd feature to the really bad I Feel Pretty.

That sounds like a movie day that would give me PTSD

It's because Kay Cannon was SO overtaken by pushing her feminist propaganda, she forgot to actually film the funny parts or even let them be in the script at all.

I agree with you. He is memorable in Trainwreck, Sisters and Blockers. this movie actually sucked but he was good in it.

I'm watching this now on HBO On Demand and not sure if I want to continue watching..its just NOT funny, much less holding my interest.
