New DC Studios head James Gunn has put yet another upcoming project on ice - a sequel to Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam.

Gunn, 56, took over DC Studios with Peter Safran on November 1, and since then there have been a number of controversial decisions such as not moving forward with Wonder Woman 3 and firing Henry Cavill as Superman.

There had also been unconfirmed rumors that the studio won't be moving forward with a sequel to Black Adam, which, at least for the immediate future, Johnson, 50, confirmed, in a lengthy message posted to Twitter.

I am actually excited about the "new" DC lineup. But of course let's see if it lives up to the hype.

Hopefully Bland Adam will not return ever again. The only thing I want to see him in is in is some advert for plain water or some really tasteless bland vanilla ice cream. "Eat this! It's Bland Adam's favourite!" He would fit those perfectly.
