Looks like the critics got it right for once

I'm looking at Metacritic and it seems to have 41% score from critics and 7.5 score from users. These days it's usually the other way around with critics praising really crappy movies, but I guess it was about time they got it right. It's not the worst movie of the year, but it's not really good either. Just another one of those generic superhero movies and there isn't really anything memorable in this movie and I'd be surprised if a couple of years from now I could remember anything from it. The Rock seems miscast in this and for whatever reason he gives just about the most bland performance he has ever given. "The Justice society" is just about as equally crappy especially with the two absolutely pointless characters and I'm of course talking about the woman who twirls around and makes rainbow coloured winds appear and some guy who likes to eat and grows big. Then there's the pointless annoying little kid because no movie is complete without one. Luckily his big moment comes up when he talks to "his" people in an even less enthusiastic and uninterested way than the Rock and gets them to rise up by throwing some gang signs.

I fully agree with this.
This is the most bland Dwayne Johnson performance ever. He was just so dull in this.
The movie is a gaint mess and feels so rushed and pointless. Those characters you mentioned, the girl who creeates wind and the guy who grows extremely big, are some of the most useless and pointless characters ever made.
This movie is a gigantic MEH!

How is a guy that can grow into a giant on a superhero team fighting aliens, demons and magical forces "useless"?

He's absolutely useless. He does barely anything at all to help. He's useless.
