Discuss Peter Cook and Dudley Moore: The Missing Sketches

Item: Peter Cook and Dudley Moore: The Missing Sketches

Language: en

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: Can someone explain to me what the Video category in the details for this entry means? This was not made for, nor has it been released to video/DVD so I believe that is incorrectly set. At the time of writing, this one-off documentary film has been broadcast once on TV

"Tagging a movie as a video helps us differentiate types of content that aren't truly movies.

If you find some content that is for example:

a compilation DVD a "best of" DVD a fitness video a compilation of children's programming Then marking it as a video is the right thing to do. Videos are still searchable and have all of the functionality that regular movies do, it just helps us keep track of them separately."

Video does not mean that it got a physical (video/dvd/vhs/blu-ray) release, just that it isn't really a movie. From what I learn on Google, this isn't a movie, it's something that was shown on TV (Channel 4,UK if I'm correct?).

Ah now I understand. It's because it's more of a compilation thing that it's tagged as such. You see this is where I got confused because, as we've seen in the TV movie thread, stand-alone documentaries broadcast on TV can count as a movie. But this is perhaps less documentary and more compilation

Yes indeed, I think the documentaries Travis was refering too are more like... for example those from History Channel; Holy Grail of America: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/223652-holy-grail-in-america

That one seems more movie-ish to me. But yet, distinguishing whether it's valid for movie and/or should be tagged as "video" is sometimes hard to do.
