Discuss Kong Salomons miner

Not especially faithful to the book, but a good fun movie to watch.

Man, it's been AGES since I saw that movie. And yes, it was terrific. Much better than the Richard Chamberlain remake. Wasn't it also the movie that introduced the African tribe, the Watusi, which led to their dance becoming popular in mainstream America for awhile?

EDIT: Yes! For once my memory doesn't fail me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watusi_(dance) " The naming of the American dance may have been inspired, in particular, by a scene in the film King Solomon's Mines which featured Tutsi dancers, or by its sequel Watusi. "

Yes; I agree. It was terrific. Usually the closer a movie is to the source novel, the more I like it. But I loved this movie. The script was excellent, and the acting was as well. Have you by any chance read H. Ryder Haggard's novel? It was a fun read, and there were a number of Quatermain novels.
