First of all, I'm not 100% buying the premise of this film, but then that's to be expected if what the film is purporting is indeed the truth. That said, I find it interesting that the "media" (whatever that means) laments not being taken seriously or objectively given that almost all of it is "infotainment" and several news outlets and "personalities" dip their toes in completely fictional work (think: House of Cards). It's ironic that Netflix produces both shows...one that uses real media networks in fictionalized works and another that laments that everyone doesn't automatically trust them.
I found the "Hulk Hogan" portion of this film most interesting, but after that it gets a bit preachy. The ending swell is just completely over the top and self-absorbed. I do think we are on the brink of truly new media, but what it will be is anyone's guess.
