Discuss The Cabin in the Cotton

Item: The Cabin in the Cotton

Language: en

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: I've had a very odd thing happen regarding this movie; it's something I've never before experienced:

When I added the movie's debut date, in TN, of Sept. 1932, then afterwards looked at the Overview page and realized I'd entered the date wrong by one day (should be 26, rather than 25), I went back in to change it to the correct date. However, though I've repeatedly tried to do that, when I select the "Release Information" field, it keeps opening up with absolutely nothing already ever having been entered (neither the Sept. 1932 debut date nor the Oct. 1932 general release date, nor "United States of America", etc.). So I'm entirely unable to re-access the date, to correct it.

As mentioned, this is the only time I've ever experienced this happen; there seems to be some type glitch. (I tried both several hours ago, with the computer having been powered off in between, then again this afternoon; had thought maybe that field would open properly this afternoon, if the situation would have some time to refresh.) I've logged out of TMDb, then back in, though it didn't make any difference. Also tried via both Chrome and Internet Explorer, but didn't make any difference. I had absolutely no problem accessing that "Release Information" field initially, when I entered the Sept. 1932 date hours ago (at the time the Oct. 1932 general release date readily showed there as having already been added), so don't know why the issue subsequently has been experienced.

If a moderator will please check and determine if the same issue is happening for them, I'll appreciate it. Meanwhile, if you're able to successfully access that field, please correct the Sept. 1932 date to be "26" rather than the present 25. Incidentally, I continue to be able to access every other edit field for this movie, with all so-far-added details showing - just not that one particular field any longer. When I click on "Release Information", the field does open, however simply with the green "+ ADD NEW RELEASE" showing, otherwise absolutely nothing.

Yup, it happened to me a few times too. I'm pretty sure I recently read a topic where Travis said he knew what was causing it and would fix the issue... but I can't seem to find it. face_palm_tone1

Yes!!! Thank you @janar72 ! kissing_heart

If the issue is not fixed for you @genplant29, just bump Travis in the topic janar linked to. smiley_cat

Thanks so much, Banana and Janar! Banana, whatever you did worked, and not only did the edit correction successfully get made, but now when I look at the editing screen for release date(s), it's appearing fully back to normal, with everything functioning properly. relaxed
