Anyone got theories? Aside from the metaphor/ parallel that life is kind of like an endless loop where everyone's looking for meaning and you can't choose to escape without suicide? So many bits and pieces in this film, and while I loved the intrigue to begin, by the end I just wanted some damn answers!

Actually, there is no escaping even with suicide. As we see in the film, suicide only restarts the loop for those poor folks. However, the duration of each of the loops might be related to the acceptance of the people in side it.

Also, for those who may not know, Resolution (2012) is the first part to this movie. Michael and Chris are characters from Resolution who play a cameo here.
