Discuss Spider-Man: Far From Home

Now that Spiderman's identity has been revealed to the public - does that mean there won't be another film of this series? I mean, how will he be able to be Spiderman now that everyone knows who he is?

Unless Fury finds some way to refute the news...

why? everybody knew who iron man, scarlet witch, captain america, war machine, black widow, etc were...

You may add the Fantastic Four to the list. But they, in contrast to Spiderman, did not hide their true identities from the beginning. To Spiderman it was important to remain anonymous. Wasn't it the case with the portrayals of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the TV shows and the comics as well?

I'm thinking the Spider-Man/Peter Parker reveal was a setup for the next movie, with either the Sinister Six (which Peter fought in the comics when his identity was revealed there), or to bring in Kraven the Hunter (to hunt the villain Spider-Man).

As I said in another thread, a villain exposing the hero's "secret identity" has been a comic book staple since the Golden Age, this is hardly radical new ground and there are at least 1,001 ways to restore everything to status quo ante.

From a "rights" standpoint, Spider-Man's Sony/Marvel marriage has officially ENDED with Far From Home. It was a 5 picture/appearance deal and those were Captain America Civil War, Spider-Man Homecoming, Avengers Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, and Spider-Man Far From Home. So now the big wigs at Sony have to decide if they want to reclaim the character to integrate into their OWN universe or extend the contract with Marvel.

I'm not a fan of everyone knowing who Spider Man is, unlike Iron Man (who has wealth and security to protect him), Peter is just a normal high school kid. There's a theory the "reveal to the public" was another Mysterio illusion...but that's another thread! stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

I think that Peter will get his job at the Daily Bugle and try to prove that he isn’t Spider-man

They have an easy out for this. Have Peter show up with one of the Skrulls in disguise in a public place. Problem solved. Doesn't get Spider-Man off the hook, but does wrap up the Peter Parker situation.

It is being reported that there was a clause that provided the MCU another movie if it cleared a billion dollars. Others think that it has already been extended.

The rumor does not concern whether there will be another movie, but rather which studio has creative control.
