I just managed to catch this, a few jump scares but overall pretty good. I'm curious as to how they stage the play, I'd love to watch that. Movie defo has me interested.

Just watched it and really enjoyed it. A few of the jumpscares are pretty lame and doesn't really fit with the feel of the movie, but the writing and acting is pretty solid.

Yep, just watched it and thought it was good creepy fun. Very 70s British in style, the first story with Paul Whitehouse was very spooky, but what was the creature the boy from the second story ran over in his dad's car supposed to be?

It was a Satyr or a demon. As for the film, I enjoyed it up to a point. But I feel like the ending was cheap. And while I was watching it I felt like I was watching a play. And come to find out that it actually was based on a play. I heard some good stuff about it while it was doing the film circuit, but I feel like it was lacking. Maybe I was expecting to much.

@OddRob I went in without knowing a thing about it, not even that it was British so seeing Paul (Alf Git) Whitehouse name come up was a surprise. I suppose the 70s element could account for it feeling like a play, it did have a made-for-tv feel about it, but that added to the feel of it all. SPOILERS As for the ending, I kinda liked it, it ties up a lot of stuff, but leaves certain things open to interpretation, like who was in the attic, what was up with the boys parents... Given the ending of the film, these are moot points, but that they along with other elements are there makes them intriguing...
