A good performance by the lead, an interesting setting (the overthrow of Mubarak), sex and violence that is completely appropriate to the tale rather than shoe-horned in, a couple of chuckles, good noir-esque pacing and a satisfying ending for a 'pig' seeking redemption. Yes it flirts with cliche from time to time but this is one of my favourite police dramas from recent years and a film that sadly barely raised a mumur.
