Giant monster movies are hit or miss (hate to admit this, but usually MISS. Examples: King Kong '05, Pacific Rim). This idea being taken from an 80s Arcade Game, what do ya'll think?
I know I'LL be there opening weekend. Kaiju fan for LIFE and this looks like a brainless giant monster movie with a lot of mayhem and from the latest trailer, big monster fight.

Granted it made $177 mill WORLDWIDE on a budget of $69 mill....looks like a moderate hit, but everywhere I read I see "dissapointment" and "flop"...
Regardless, I hope rampage is a hit...looks fun!

Rampage will probably do quite well for it's budget. The final BO will likely be somewhere below Kong: skull island I'd say. Pretty big numbers can be expected in China since they've warmed to the Rock over the years and they're even releasing it there on the same day as in America. Meaning bad reviews can't kill it before it premieres and more importantly it has enough space from Infinity War.

I hope not, Hollywood is creatively bankrupt. No idea how they managed to pull a story out of this game but I bet it'l suck.

The Rock is the Teflon Don of the movie industry, everything he touches turns to Gold. Rampage will be number one at the BO.

Umm...Race to Witch Mountain?
The Rock is hit or miss on roles he picks. See Pain & Gain...great movie for Rock fans.

It seems to have under performed at the box office so far.

Well one thing is for sure (at least to me,) it was better than the The Mummy (2017) and Kong: Skull Island, though that's not saying much!
