I know many people think highly of Alan Bates' performance in Georgy Girl but his hyperactive performance irritated me throughout. Lynn Redgrave is wonderful, James Mason - while underused - can do no wrong and Charlotte Rampling manages to find some shades in her underwritten queen b--ch, but Bates... I wanted to throw something at the screen every time he blazed onto it.
Best thing about this dated although likeable film - that infectious theme song, one of the catchiest ever. 6/10

I haven't seen this movie in probably at least five years, but have enjoyed it every time I've seen it throughout the years.
Yes: Love that theme song! I certainly do remember hearing that on the radio a lot when little and in my teens!
