The crew of the Pegasus, a scout space vessel sent in search of a habitable planet, does not seem very cohesive. Some don't even seem emotionally stable enough to be sent on a mission like this. There is a lot of insubordination and lack of discipline displayed by various members. The Captain doesnt do enough about this. Morale stinks. Also, the ship itself appears to have been poorly stocked and is ill prepared for contingencies.

The emotional instability of several members would have disqualified them from serving board the mission. That problem is compounded by a captain who lacks command presence and tolerates the behavior. He also acts like a pussy when facing a crazed crew member holding a scalpel, allowing him to murder several crew members. But I guess that had to happen so the captain could die a tragic hero, going down and burning up with his ship.
