Since IMDB shut up shop, I've really missed discussing these films and others from my childhood. Not many posts here yet but hopefully, in time we can get a decent community going, where these works of art can be appreciated.

They were often broadcast on Saturday afternoons, as I remember. Clash of the Titans was a favourite.

Wow - a reply already!!
Unexpected but welcome. I half expected to not hear back from anyone for months, as after a quick spin around these boards, they appear pretty dead. Even the newer films like the new King Kong for example get very little traffic - in comparison to IMBD at least.
Anyway.......... Yes I recall in the UK they were often broadcast on Sunday Afternoons. Clash of the Titans got the most airplay back in the day, and the Sinbad films, Eye of the Tiger in particular. The Valley of Gwangi was more of a hidden gem that didn't come along quite as often. I'm really lookign forward to seeing it again.

While I was of the generation that was coming of age during Clash, I never took to it. However, I did love Jason and the Argonauts. The skeleton battle is iconic. And Harryhausen was the master of stop motion, of course. He inspired other stop-motion animators like Phil Tippett, of whom I'm likewise a fan.

Just thinking about it, I'd forgotten how enjoyable these film are.
I must seek them out again and give them another watch.

I of course love Jason and the Argonauts, but after revisiting it recently, it feels incomplete. It just kinda ends abruptly. I believe they were planning a continuation that never happened.
Clash was my go to Harryhausen film as a child. It thrilled and terrified me!!
