Discuss The Lion King

Not really...can't they use same voice from previous who still sounds the same? At least from the broadway cast, i guess those will be the additional scenes like the songs. Will this involve acting motion capture or homeward bound haha!

Sadly two actors have since passed, Raifiki (Robert Guilluame) and Sarabi (Madge Sinclair). The current cast for this movie though is rather perfect! Looking forward to this as this was a family favorite for both the movie and the stage play.

Not sure how live action it will be when all of it will be CGI lol

hopefully the live action is as good as the original, like beauty and the beast, the live action was really good and i watched it like 4-5 times, it was that good

The live action Beauty and the Beast was meh. Emma Watson was the weakest link of the cast. Unless you count Ewan's french accent.

Same problem I had with Beauty & the Beast's CGI characters like Lumiere, can't see any emotions from the face so it looked dull. Especially in the original the characters were great and there's so many facial expressions. And I'm not happy with Be Prepared...I didn't even know Scar was already singing it (or reciting). Was looking forward to some hyenas choreography. If they were gonna add new songs - better add one from the Lion King musical. Simba running with Beyonce's singing felt like a music video of a song from after credits. Nice song but not in that scene for me.

But whatever CGI technology they used here in Lion King - still amazing it was like watching Nat Geo/Animal Planet.
