Discuss Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Lots of world-building, I guess they're setting up for part 3.

Is it better than part 1? Eh...technically. I didn't like the fact that Maleficent was almost a side character in her own movie, but beyond that everything seemed bigger and better. Plus as I guessed before I even saw the movie, Michelle Pfeiffer stole the show.

...ok.

Anyway, #1 movie its opening weekend. 36mil domestic, 117mil foreign.

I didn't really like it- it was predictable and cliched- though the villainess storyline was interesting, as it had elements from old versions of the story

The Mouse House is, by all accounts, is less than enthused In all seriousness though, Rod, I'm glad that you enjoyed this one

Thing is I'm actually interested in talking about the movie (the good and the bad) hence my mini-review.

I just wanted more Maleficent. I guess everyone has Cinematic Universe on their mind these days.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by it, and I've also just seen the almost-as-underwhelming Doctor Sleep- Rebecca Ferguson is a terrible actress. Yes, terrible

I've been meaning to read the book first (Doctor Sleep)...but I think it's like almost 800 pages so I may not finish it in time for the movie.

Read the book, and blow the film, I would recommend- then again, I've stuck to that with the Shining- I've read the book, and I've refused to watch the film joy
