Debate ปีเตอร์ แพน และ เวนดี้

Critics love it, the general audience hates it, and I like some of the Disney live-action remakes (The Lion King and Aladdin were some of my favorite movies that are not Marvel-related), so I'm wondering if I would watch this one too. Is it worth the watch?

I watched it last night, I thought it was ok. I could tell that they tried to take scenes and angles from the cartoon, but they changed some of the story and the ending. It appeared that Jude Law was doing his best Dustin Hoffman impression as Hook, though I was highly impressed with his makeup as I hardly recognized him. I also feel Yara Shahidi played a pretty good Tink, in that I could tell she took a lot of her mannerisms from the cartoon. Peter was ok, though a little over serious for the role. Wendy was fine as well, though watching Ever Anderson in the role I kept thinking how much she looks like her mom. Joshua Blue Pickering and Jacobi Jupe were perfectly cast as John and Michael. Overall, I put this at it's another version of many Peter Pan's I've seen now.

"Peter Pan & Wendy (2023)" is an average movie with a mix of good and bad acting. Cinematography varies with some poor lighting scenes. Neverland isn't that magical, but the score by Daniel Hart is great.

The lost boys and girls are your typical mischievous little rascals. Instead of fighting each other over Peter Pan, Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi), Wendy Darling (Ever Gabo Anderson), and Tiger Lily (Alyssa Wapanatâhk) become friends and show that girl power rules in Neverland.

When Captain Hook (Jude Law) speaks, you listen carefully to what he says. It might have some profound meaning. Mr. Smee (Jim Gaffigan) is a good father figure.

There should have been more scenes with the crocodile.

Where are the mermaids? They must have been partying with "The Little Mermaid (2023)".

What about Peter Pan (Alexander Molony)? He can fly. wink

Critics give it a higher rating than " The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)", which made over a $1 Billion.

Did Disney make a mistake by not releasing it in the theatres? It could have been David Lowery next box office hit since "Pete's Dragon (2016)", or his biggest flop. thinking

Just watch Critical Drinker's review of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuREaFVr-Vc and move on, perhaps watch the original.

Yeah...no. Critical Drinker is not someone I value the opinion of.
