It depends if you think you should. It's not what the movie is about, though you may be fooled to thinking that it is, which is the genius of it. You should watch it.

Maybe this is just a trolling attempt? It's a great movie. Anyone who takes offense should have their head examined.

Guilt? No. I think the film will point out that there are still some white people who only see race and have no clue what to do when faced with it, even the most liberal-seeming white people. I don't think the film is a condemnation of the entire white race as a whole though. I reviewed the film on youtube if you want a better understanding of it. https://youtu.be/Tb0kPow-1D4

It is layered. There are aspects that are in your face but there is far more too it when you start peeling back the layers of context and examining it with a fine toothed comb. The surface details are fairly tame, about social awkwardness and white guilt, but when you look a little deeper you start to uncover themes related to micro-aggressions, scientific racism, systematic racism and what not. It's definitely a well crafted film.

No... if you do, you're watching it the wrong way. It's meant to be fun and light hearted. Like a close friend making a joke about an outfit you're fond of.

troll post. the OP has a chip on his shoulder about race.

I felt zero so called white guilt. It is a fairly well crafted feint. Good story.

Depends how secure you are in your identity.

No person should ever feel 'white guilt'.

And it's not in your face, it's more 'in your head'.

The story's not really about race, just like the Ghostbusters reboot wasn't about gender, but the slightly-educated-and-very-ignorant elites who make up media used it as an opportunity to pat themselves on the back, so here we are discussing race instead of the merits of the movie.

Its much more a comedy of manners than bigoted/racist...

Edit: i cant think of an actually racist/bigoted thing in the movie... especially once you've seen the full thing

nah. it's actually kinda clever.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! That people don't get this baffles me! They are only seeing it on a superficial level. It is very layered, and isn't what you may think it is, which is the beauty of it.
