Discuss The Man from Earth: Holocene

Isabel: "But that doesn't explain how you went from a skeptic to a believer."

Jenkins: "I'm an archaeologist. I dug deep, looking for the truth, but I couldn't disprove his fantastic story. So I published."

Professor John Oldman told a story in "The Man from Earth (2007)": he has lived over fourteen thousand years...

This is the sequel. Something is wrong, different with him. He doesn't heal as fast and he appears to be getting older, perhaps dying. John is found out by four of his students and they get in touch with Dr. Art Jenkins.

At the end John is tied to a chair and Philip, thinking that he is the antichrist, stabs him in the side with a knife, and then runs away. John is left behind.

This scene, the knife and wound makes one reflect:

Gospel of John 19:34: "But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out."

What do you think? Are you a sceptic or a believer?
