While this documentary does include hardcore scenes, it does so in the spirit of cataloguing the history of those films. Mubi describes it as "The film, narrated by LA Plays Itself director Fred Halstead, begins by looking at the muscle magazines and films of the late 1940s-early 1960s, then at the softcore films of the late 60s and the boundary-pushing and legal-testing which allowed these to evolve into hardcore loops and then features."

Hi, while I see your perspective I think this is a very different case. Had it been a regular documentary it would not be featured at IAFd and various gay porn databases. The key difference is that a porn documentary typically means "behind the scenes", while here we have actual porn scenes (even if somewhat shortened ones).
