Pattinson is a o.k. actor. But frankly i don't think hes remotely right for the part. Jared Leto is pretty good actor. But he made for a horrible Joker. Not mention that to most people he still the sparkling vampire from Twilight movies.
I've never seen a twilight film so didn't get the "sparkling" vampire comments here. Just looked it up 😂 So they sparkle in the sunlight in these films instead of turning to dust right?!!
THE TWILIGHT FILMS ARE NOT BAD...THEY ARE NOT GOOD EITHER...THEY ARE DEFINATELY FOR THE TEEN GIRLS THEY WERE MADE FOR...ROBERT PATTINSON IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST ELEMENTS IN SAID FILMS..HE HAD SINCE GONE ON TO HAVE A VARIED AND QUALITY CAREER..FLICKS LIKE THE ROVER AND LOST CITY OF Z GIVE ME CONFIDENCE THAT HE WILL PULL OFF THE ROLE...I JUST DONT KNOW THAT I HAVE ENOUGH ENTHUSIASM LEFT FOR ANOTHER BATMAN.
I think the casting is similar to when Daniel Craig was cast as James Bond. The Bond producers and studio have to do more Bond films irrespective of the suitability of the actor (and Daniel Craig sure as heck doesn't look like Fleming's Bond!) and it's the same with Warner Bros/DC - they have to keep going back to the Batman franchise again and again even if there isn't an ideal actor for the role. If Pattinson didn't get it some other Joe would. If there's isn't an ideal candidate, Pattinson may turn out okay in the part. Put on the Batman mask, sound tough, whisper a bit - how hard can that be?! I don't think it's a particularly hard role to do. George Clooney may have been a better Batman with a decent screenplay to work from.
Bit of a shame they couldn't find another American to play the part, though.

I really can't see his casting being due to no other suitable actor on the landscape. Hell, Dame Judi Dench, Angela Lansbury and Pauly Shore are all higher on the suitability scale. And I accept that Pattinson can be a shockingly good actor at times. I've seen The Rover and Lost City of Z.
If I was to think about it for 2 minutes I could come up with about 50 actors that could reasonably be seen as Batman.
