Diego was right

For many reasons, you can't really blame him for squeezing out George.
George knew why Diego wanted that contact. He knew he had to protect it but he gave it to him anyway. That's on him.
It's also not like George didn't do the same thing to Derek's connection, when they started going straight to Mexico instead. He was always looking to cut out the middle man as well.
And like Diego said, if it weren't for him, George wouldn't have any of that. He made George an extremely rich man.
So I don't think he has too many reasons to be upset. It's just business at the end of the day.

Diego squeezed him out because he was going down, just like he squeezed Foreal (the connection pilfered by Delgado) out before he got them together in the same house to be arrested. That way, they can't deny knowing each other.
Also, if both are sneezed out of cartel access, they can't turn on anybody.
