This was like a good episode of Black Mirror... And I mean that in a good way...
I only wished it didn't look so video in places, in terms of cinematography...

I enjoyed it too. I had no problem with the cinematography, I thought it was well worked with all the interlinking meshes, both natural and artificial, as an undercurrent through-line for what makes for reality and sel(f/ves) .
The only question I'm left with is "So was there blue sky on Mars?".

I hated it. None of her revelations in the end made any sense to me. Get government approval for the tech then disband the company? What? Why? Create a cure to brain damage and then not use it cause it might kill the patient (like it does in her simulation) and then kill the patient anyway? What? Why? This second one really bugged me, because the question has come up numerous times in sci-fi, especially Star Trek. Option 1 - Give patient a possible cure, which may kill him. Option 2 - Let the patient die. In the other stories, the choice was unanimously go for Option 1. I don't understand why she went with Option 2, why her father wanted Option 2. Don't they watch Star Trek?
This could have been an interesting movie, and a pseudo prequel to Total Recall, but that ending really irked me cause of the illogical decisions she makes.

I thought the same thing about Black Mirror...if they had played it straight. After that the mental gymnastics kicked in, taking away much of the haunting qualities. I was really bummed about the direction until the film redeemed itself. Still seemed an unnecessary risk to me to go that route. It was an interesting story either way!

The long, obvious and boring "episode of Black Mirror". It has good potential and a good premise, but overall the movie is mediocre.
