Discuss Creem: America's Only Rock 'n' Roll Magazine

Maybe you had to be there, or it was only interesting for those who were on the Creem magazine staff, but to hear them re-tell their stories 40 years later was a bit uninteresting.

Thanks Chickie. To the extent that I read any of the issues, Creem was a boring magazine! I seem to recall the writing being a tad bit too... subjective? 95% of all music writing is quite subjective, but I remember this being an issue I had with Creem the few times that I read it.

I actually preferred SPIN magazine to Creem, going forward in time a bit. I don't even know if it's still published, but anyway, it'd be interesting to see a doc on how they almost went out of business back in the 80's, but somehow made their comeback.
