Discuss Slepa groza

Did I miss something? After taking all the precautions to tie Greg up so he couldn't hurt himself, why did they leave the room and close the door? Even before it was revealed that he still found a way to kill himself anyway, leaving the room made no narrative sense. Some of the group was skeptical that this would be any different than seeing the monsters in person, so why did no one at least stay in the room to communicate with Greg, or at the very least, observe to see if his behavior or demeanor changed in any way while watching the camera feed? They could stayed on the back side of the monitor, and if anything went wrong, avoided looking at the monitor and turned it facedown or smashed it just like they did when they re-entered the room.

In another thread, some people like you and I thought this scene made no sense for the reasons you've outlined.

And then there were others who thought this scene made complete sense.

They tied him up because if he was to try and kill himself, in theory he wouldn't be able to. Yet then they all left the room...

agree, though I don't even see point in tying him up, he will kill himself eventually anyway, so what's the point postponing it, they won't learn anything from observing him. could just let him untied and wait for result, either it works or he will kill himself, actually to make it less messy, they could just leave him gun there. tying would make sense if they wanted to stay inside to make sure he won't accidentally hurt someone else
