Lol, what? At least The Happening revealed the source and didn't pull the old trick of not showing it.

This movie was a direct rip off and it somehow managed to be even more awful. Terrible acting, too many cliches, and the movie focused too much on the house drama, vs the intense first half of The Happening where it was about survival. Literally, every single character in the movie was terrible. The pacing was crap and the writing was atrocious. It felt like an indie movie released by YouTubers.

The Happening may have had a bad ending but was a solid movie in the first half. Bird Box is complete garbage and was only made popular by Memes which are also trash.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant, I'm just angered at the fact that most people consider this a good movie. The standards have fallen dramatically and it's sad.

You can bash Bird Box all you want, I get it has its flaws and even I'm not too hot on it. But what I cannot accept is The Happening being labelled a solid movie! Come on, the acting, the story, the ending...rubbish. Remind me, what was the source again?

With the exception to the acting and the ending, The Happening is a good movie. Not only is it original, but it had some great memorable and intense moments like the lawnmower scene. Again, I'm not really saying The Happening is a great movie, just that its much better than this low budget, indie style Netflix garbage.

Wow, Happening over Bird Box...would love to see where your opinion stands in a poll. Mark Wahlberg is so damn cringy in Happening, Bullock runs circles around him. Stupid parts really hurt Happening, running from the wind (lol), Mark talking to a plastic tree (lolol)!

I thought The Happening was pretty good.

The lead actors were bad.
