He was a three dimensional character who was enjoyable to watch and had different sides to his personality. Final exam is a gem from the eighties and not like any other film from that period. Having a male finale survivor would've made it perfect. He's chaste as he has a chance with a girl only to blow it twice by missing signals, he drinks a little bubbly and is responsible. He could've been that rock that holds this film together
