The end was done well and the dialog at the end between the alien and the col. (girl's father) was especially well done, it's a sad account of our so called civilization up until now. I believe it was said in the film "in the past 5,000 years, 4 billion violent deaths occurred in an estimated 15,000 conflicts and we're 600 years from stripping the Earth entirely of it's resources. Accurate? Most people would probably definitely agree with that yet because we are a far too selfish race to stop or even think about the future anywhere beyond our own lifespans and those of our children and children's children's(at the very, very most) lifespans. Not until it's too late will it all crumble for humankind, not that I myself actually care, I'll be dead long before any need for worry and I don't have children. If that makes me a sh!tty person, well so be it, me and about half a dozen billion others.
